Skip Tracing

Speed and cost-efficiency make the difference in today’s very competitive recovery environment. The first contact attempt on delinquent consumer is usually the most likely to collect the debt. But in order to contact the consumer, a valid telephone number and/or address is needed. ACS has developed and uses an automated process to provide our clients the fastest, yet cost-effective recoveries. By increasing the percentage of right-party contacts, our skip process benefits our clients through accelerated recoveries and maximum net back of monies to our clients.

ACS’s automated skip process customizes the strategy to maximize location effectiveness and right-party contacts given specific portfolio characteristics or specific recovery strategies. Specific skip tracing strategies are assigned based on the characteristics of the account. This allows all accounts to receive some sort of skip tracing treatment, even if the dollar balance on the account in the past may have dictated that the account not be skip traced. We utilize a number of sources to locate debtors. 

Among the most valuable: Continually cross-reference accounts against our proprietary, one-of-a-kind database, comprised of other account information that may contain new address, employment and telephone information; Search various drivers’ license databases which we own and receive weekly updates directly from DPS documenting all new, renewal and change-of-address applications; Utilize multiple data suppliers in search of a match for new information.

Address Management Services

Our integrated systems provides us the ability to pre-scrub consumer name and address data, enhance address information via Zip+4 appends, USPS FAST forward system Change of Address (COA) lookups, as well as National Change of Address (NCOA) lookups.
